Worldwide, over 160 million children participate in child labour. Child labour refers to children who are too young to work, do work that is too hard or dangerous for them and prevents them from going to school. With the project El Kassib, RVO supports the ADMC-led waste management project to prevent child labour in Egypt. So far through the project El Kassib, with the support of the Fund Agains Child Labour, 922 boys and 460 girls from the neighbourhood El Zabaleen have been able to go to school instead of working in waste management.
